10. Taare Zameen Par – The Brightest Stars Are Right Here
This movie introduced the audience to dyslexia, a reading disorder that affects 5-10 % of the population. With Aamir Khan’s classy appearance as a teacher, the movie was bound to get complements from all circles giving it a cult status. Darsheel Safari as Ishaan Awasthi brilliantly portrayed the role of the troubled child who would not get the expected support from his parents, but finally realizes his true potential as a painter with the help of his dynamic teacher. A very touching movie so well complemented by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy’s music.
