Indians fondly refer to Mahatma Gandhi as the ‘Father of the Nation.’ Not only did he launch a strong march against the British in India but he also left his fellow countrymen with a number of strong values that are worth imbibing. Gandhi’s entire life can serve as an example to each and every one of us. We can learn a lot from what he did and said in his lifetime.
1. Change Yourself, Not Others
Gandhi always felt that if we wanted to see desired qualities in other people, we needed to first possess them ourselves. By being loving and kind to others, we would be able to get the same response. The more beautiful and good we are on the inside, the more we would reflect this onto others thereby getting others to be good too.
