2. A River of Tri-Colour
Every city and town in the country is decked up in the tri-colour. The roads are lined with the beautiful Indian flag and avenues are lit up with orange, white and green. On the special day, chief ministers of each state along with the governors and other dignitaries hoist the Indian flag. It is mesmerising to see the marigolds floating down as the flag unfurls. It is indeed a sight that will leave you captivated and in awe!
As the National Anthem is played and sung across the country, your chest puffs up with pride and makes you feel proud. It is feeling you have to experience to understand why Independence Day in India is so special and unique.
