4. Marrying A Tree – India
In India, if a girl is born mangalic, which is a certain time in Hindu astrology, she is believed to be cursed and can bring death to her husband once married. In order to ward this curse, a mangalic girl is first married to a tree which will then be cut and destroyed to break the curse.
