9. Smashing Dishes – Germany
This is a custom called Polterabend, which is practiced in many parts of Germany. The guests bring new dishes as gifts for the new couple and later on, the bride and groom have to smash and break everything.It’s a way of wishing them luck for any obstacles to come on their new journey of live together.
