It’s Not The Critic That Counts, But The One Who Is Actually In The Arena
Immediately after her surgery, she alone made arrangements for a dance Fest and conducted rehearsals. The dance mudras, metaphors, imagery and poetry – these became her potent weapons in her fight against the dreaded carcinoma. Even between chemotherapy cycles, she continued with her dance, thanks to the exceptional support from her relatives, who made it possible for her to lead a normal life. With every chemo session, her stamina was a big concern, but with great steadfastness, she stuck to her diet and regained energy without succumbing to emotional pulls.At one point, she even gave up wearing the wig used to hide her baldness due to chemotherapy. Keeping herself busy with dance, she negated cancer and proved that the disease was just another page in her life. She thus successfully worked her way ahead overpowering any misery hovering over her dreams.
