Entertainment occupies a unique place in the heart of the Indian masses. Well, sometimes controversies do arise regarding the temperament of these stars when they misbehave with the fans. The fanfare and popularity of certain B-stars sometimes face a steep downward trend, particularly due to their wrong attitudes. Call it a heat of the moment or regard the misbehavior of the stars as a habitual practice, it lands them in controversy. Here is a list of five actresses who had found themselves in the face of the storm for being rude to the fans.
1. Katrina Kaif
Katrina Kaif had once been in the midst of controversies. The first incident occurred with a fan when he, along with his family, was in Los Angeles. Beside the pool in the hotel, he could see the star working out in a gym. His cousin, a ten-year-old boy, was a great fan of Katrina and wanted to meet her. However, they had no intention to be rude. After the workout was over, she was chatting with a girl, when the little boy approached her, admiring her talent and asking for a selfie with her. However, she refused, banged the glass of juice she was having on the table, turned to the other girl with a disgusted expression and walked away. Of course, the kid was disappointed.
2. Twinkle Khanna
Twinkle Khanna too, once ended up misbehaving with a fan. This person was working for Mattel Toys, as a sales representative in Mumbai. Once, a small kid, around four years of age, walked into the store. When the man asked the kid what he was looking for, the latter replied that he would find the toy for himself. Then he went on looking for the toy for a long time. Suddenly he came across what he was looking for and pointed do a bubble maker toy, adding that he was looking for it for long. Then, he went to call his mother, who stormed into the store angrily and inquired if the man had shown it to him. Later he realized that it was Twinkle Khanna. He replied that he had taken it himself, but the lady continued, asking how he could hand over the toy to him. Then she looked at the price, which was Rs. 280. Later she added that it took a lot of hard work to earn Rs. 280 and left the store angrily.
3. Anushka Sharma
This incident also took place in Mumbai with an employee of a French brand. As she entered the store, one of the staff greeted her inside. It was ten at night, and the store was supposed to be shut at 11. She was willing to buy a party wear for gift purpose. A staff girl handed over the brochure to her. She could not decide which suit to buy and went on exploring seven to eight dresses for the next half an hour. When she pointed out to a particular dress, he replied that it was not available, and needed to be ordered along with an advance. However, she kept on insisting that she wanted it then and there, instead of the ones that were available. The manager informed her that it was time to close. Ultimately, she left the store at 12 and lodged a complaint about poor conduct at the website. The colleague of the person got terminated, and the salary of the other staff was deducted for the month.
4. Priyanka Chopra
This incident is actually a confession. She revealed this when the trailer of Jai GangaaJal was being launched. However, she stated that it was the fan who first misbehaved with her. So, she had slapped him on the sets of the movie Anjaana Anjaani. She added that she was not sure if he was a fan or not. The actress had come out during the trailer of the film when the man came up and held her arms. She got scared and irritated, eventually grabbing the man by the collar and slapping him.
5. Kareena Kapoor, along with Saif Ali Khan
Although this incident did not directly involve Karena Kapoor, she was a part of the incident. This happened with a 12-year old boy when he was on vacation with his family and cousins. They were at the Mumbai airport when they noticed Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. As it was already night, the crowd was missing. All the children, along with three cousins, were aged between 11 and 14. They became excited and ran towards them. They had the intention to shake hands with the stars. The kid just said ‘Hi,’ before one of the other kids accidentally pushed him. His leg touched that of Saif’s, who pushed him back angrily, stating ‘How dare you.’ Kareena too looked at the kids with a disgusted face. However, as they noticed that the father of the kid was watching the incident closely, they did not speak further and left.
These happenings do not happen too often, but when they occur, they leave a negative impression about the icon involved in it. It may happen in a fit of rage, but most of the B-stars do not apologize for being rude. No one wants their favorite film star to behave rudely with him or her, but at times, the temperament of the personalities is too high to be controlled.
