All-Natural DIY Sexy Mascara
Mascara is an essential when it comes to makeup and you probably cannot do without it. But how safe is the mascara you are currently using? Not every safe because, like other cosmetics on the market, mascaras contain a lot of chemicals. The good news is that you can make your own at home and get beautiful lashes without the risk of damaging your eyes!
You Will Need
- Coconut oil – 2 teaspoons
- Aloe vera gel – 4 teaspoons
- Beeswax (grated) – ½ to 1 teaspoon
- Activated charcoal (for black mascara) – 1 to 2 capsules (1/2 to ½ teaspoon); for brown, use the same amount of cocoa powder
- A clean, empty mascara container
To Make Your Mascara
- Mix coconut oil, beeswax and aloe vera gel in a small pan over low heat. Stir until the beeswax melts completely.
- Open 1 or 2 activated charcoal capsules (depending on how black you want it to be) and pour into your beeswax mixture. Stir until it is incorporated completely. Once done, remove from the heat.
- Let the mixture cool down a bit and then pour it into a small plastic bag. Push it down to one corner and cut a small home in the opposite corner.
- Fold the corner with the hole until it has a tip small enough to fit into the mascara container. Push it in as far as you can and empty out the mixture into it.
- Press the mascara into the container as gently as you can or you will make a huge mess.
Voila! You have your very own DIY mascara! Now you can have pretty peepers without the use of expensive chemical-filled, store-bought mascaras!
No matter what they promise or how pretty their packaging is, say goodbye to cosmetics that cost you loads of money but do nothing for you. Instead, use all-natural, easy-to-get ingredients and make your own beauty essentials at home.
