5. Despite Embracing Global Trends, Is India Really Prepared For Cyber Attacks
The cyber prowess of certain terrorist organizations seems to be wreaking havoc all over the world. The West is slowly putting into place systems to defend against this. When it comes to the situation to India, as a country, is far behind. We are still connecting major core assets like power grids and transport networks to the Internet. We are in the process of increasingly storing more and more of our data online. The network of the Prime Minister’s office as well as the Ministry for External Affairs has been attacked on numerous occasions. I think that gives us a clear picture as to just how prepared our country is for a cyber attack. It isn’t!
