Rio Olympics is going on and this time is for India. Yes, this is the high time for girls. Last time, Dipa Karnakar got fourth place in world in gymnastics and made us proud. Whole country was proud of her and now another girl who made us proud.
And this time a girl of Rohtak created a history. Yes, Wrestler Sakshi Malik won a bronze medal in wrestling in 58 kg category at the Rio Olympics.
Yes, the first medal of India for this season. Sakshi Malik is a first woman to get a medal this season. And in the same time the fourth indian woman to got a Olympic medal ever.
Sakshi was always fond of it and started wrestling in 2002 under Ishwar Dahiya.
She also won a silver at Glasgow Commonwealth Games, 2014 and bronze in 2015 Asiad in Doha.
Sakshi won the bronze medal match in Rio Olympics after beating Aisuluu Tynybekova of Kyrgyzstan. Sakshi made the game in her side in the last 30 seconds. After getting beaten by 5-0, she didn’t stop it and won the match by 8-5.
She is just 23 and has made the whole country proud.
All we can say is, another proud moment for every Indian out here. All the best wishes are with you now. You go girl. All power to you.
Three cheers for Sakshi Malik .
