2. Al Aziziyah, Libya
Al Aziziyah is the capital of the Jafara district located in the northwestern parts of Libya, southwest of Tripoli. It is sometimes spelled as El Azizia. Al Aziziyah was considered to have the highest temperature ever measured on the Earth. This was before it was out matched by Death Valley. The highest temperature ever recorded was 136.4 degrees F. The waters play a vital role in influencing the temperature of the area.
