9. Quwwat Ul Islam Mosque, Delhi
After the Islamic invasion of the country, the first mosque to be constructed was this one. It was constructed in 1193 AD and is one of the oldest surviving examples of Ghurids architecture in India. It is constructed on a raised platform which measure in at 141 feet by 10 feet. The facade of the mosque is engraved with verses from the Quran and floral motifs.
