5. Jeju Island
The Jeju is one volcanic island, about 130 km from Korea’s southern coast. The smallest province and biggest island of Korea, the island is spread over 1,846 sq km. The island contains Hallasan which is the tallest mountain of South Korea. It is one dormant volcano as well. The island was created totally from a series of volcanic eruptions roughly 2 million years ago. Part of the volcanic island is covered by the Gotjawal forest.
