4. Academic Excellence at National Institutes of Technology
Another group of prestigious engineering colleges, NIT or National Institutes of Technology were earlier known as Regional Engineering Colleges. Currently, the group consists of 31 autonomous institutes which offer a wide range of bachelors, masters and doctoral level degrees. The entrance to undergraduate courses is done through the Joint Entrance Examination.
